    • Abstract:
This article analysis of attitudinal and personality variables in relation to a programmed course in psychiatry. The authors, two psychiatrists and one psychologist, selected 438 concepts which were assumed to be of value for communication in psychiatric practice. All the concepts were first defined according to standard dictionaries and glossaries and then were modified by the investigators. A cue word was selected in order to help reinforce the memory for each definition. Next, the authors and three senior psychiatrists made independent ratings of the definitions as to the acceptability of each concept.
