There were 479 senior high school students from six public high schools in Nonthaburi Province recruited by multistage random sampling. The obtained data were analyzed using descriptive statistics and inferential statistics with computerized statistical package. The results revealed that the percentage of depression was 14.19. Social factors of peer group relationship, family relationships, self-esteems, parenting style, and negative life events were statistically significant associated with depression (p< 0.05). Therefore, the surveillance system of social determinants should be conducted and accompanied with academic problem solving, providing information and counseling technique of depression and basic treatment among teachers will reduce this problem.
