    • Abstract:
      Over my years-long work in higher education, I have noticed attitudes and collected information on students' behaviour related to physical education, in particular their attitudes towards physical activity. My hypothesis is that the state of health and lifestyle of preschool education students at our faculty, in addition to their physical activity, is at higher level compared to social pedagogy students. The article aims at testing my hypothesis in the case of students who enrolled our faculty in 2004. Data on 249 first-year students were collected by means of questionnaires in quantitative research. These questionnaires contained items on students' habits concerning maintaining their health (especially by physical activities), harming their health and self-assessment of their state of health. The replies enabled the research on similarities and differences between the behaviour regarding health and lifestyle of the two groups of students. Based on the data collected from the questionnaires, my hypothesis on health threatening activities has shown significant deviation only in the case of smoking habits. However, it proved true that there is a significant difference in physical activities between the two groups, in particular among preschool education students. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

      Tijekom višegodišnjeg rada u visokom školstvu promatrala sam i skupljala podatke o razvoju ponašanja studenata vezanog uz zdravstvenu kulturu, osobito onog vezanog uz njihov stav prema tjelesnoj aktivnosti. Moja je pretpostavka da su zdravstveno stanje i životni stil studenata predškolskog odgoja našega fakulteta kao i njihova tjelesna aktivnost i izvedba na višoj razini nego kod studenata socijalne pedagogije. U članku ću nastojati istražiti je li moja hipoteza istinita u slučaju studenata koji su primljeni na našu ustanovu 2004. godine. Tijekom kvantitativnog istraživanja prikupila sam podatke od 249 studenata prve godine i to pomoću upitnika. Ti su upitnici sadržavali pitanja o navikama studenata usmjerenih prema očuvanju zdravlja (osobito tjelesnim aktivnostima), aktivnostima koje ugrožavaju zdravlje kao i o samoprocjeni njihova zdravstvenog stanja. Njihovi su mi odgovori omogućili istražiti sličnosti i razlike između ponašanja vezanog uz zdravlje i životnoga stila dviju navedenih skupina studenata. Na temelju rezultata iz upitnika, moja je hipoteza o aktivnostima koje ugrožavaju zdravlje pokazala značajnija odstupanja samo u slučaju pušačkih navika. Pokazalo se, međutim, istinitim kako postoji značajna razlika između tjelesne aktivnosti studenata tih dviju skupina i to sa strane studenata predškolskog odgoja. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
