    • Clinical Answer:
      For children aged 6 to 12 years, high‐certainty evidence shows little to no difference between groups when diet and exercise interventions were compared (diet vs exercise, diet plus exercise vs exercise alone, or diet alone) in terms of body mass index (whether adjusted for age and sex or not). No trial used a direct measure of body fat to assess obesity. It is worth noting that most of the evidence is derived from a single trial conducted in China, limiting generalizability of the results.
